Sierra Introduces New 6.5mm 107 gr Tipped MatchKing Bullet

Sierra Bullets

Sierra Bullets is proud to announce another addition to our popular Tipped MatchKing® line. In 2014, Sierra Bullets crowned the MatchKing® with an acetal resin tip that lowers the drag by improving the ballistic coefficient. We continue to expand this extremely popular line by adding another 6.5mm option in 107 gr.

While they are recognized around the world for record-setting accuracy, MatchKing® and Tipped MatchKing® bullets are not recommended for most hunting applications. Although MatchKing® and Tipped MatchKing® bullets are commonly used for varmint hunting, their design will not provide the same reliable explosive expansion at equivalent velocities on varmints compared to their lightly jacketed Hornet, BlitzKing®, or Varminter counterparts.

The new 6.5mm 107 grain Tipped MatchKing® bullets will be available in boxes of 500 bullets (#7407C) with a suggested retail of $205.07 per box and boxes of 100 bullet (#7407) with…

The “Mythical” Good Guy with a Gun.

Firing Pins

I had a discussion online with an old acquaintance from high school a short while back. It was shortly after a mass shooting event happened, and the discussion centered around what could be done to prevent or at least mitigate such occurrences in the future. Somehow he was under the mistaken belief that stronger laws would have prevented the tragedy, and had gone so far as to call out a political representative for being supported by the NRA, as though the NRA was in some way complicit.  Nevermind the fact that the perpetrator violated countless laws already. He asked me what I thought was the best solution and I told him my answer; get rid of gun free zones, and let armed self defenders, be armed. His reply was “oh, so your answer is the mythical good guy with a gun.” Mythical? I need to explain why the “good guy…

Denzel Washington: Stop Blaming The Prison System Black America – “It Starts At Home”

Give Me Liberty

H/T Freedom OutPost.

Denzel Washington is 100% correct the system is not to blame for so many black men being in prison.

I’ve also appreciated many of the things he has said publicly, as well.

In his latest commentary, he voices to those of the community in Black America, and it’s a similar message to what Bill Cosby used to say, which got an uproar.

When it comes to filling up the prison system in America, Washington says that American blacks should not blame the system, but should look to solve the problem by starting at home.

“It starts at the home…

He Said That? 11/27/17

From Geoffrey F. Miller (born 1965), American evolutionary psychologist, serving as an associate professor of psychology at the University of New Mexico:

Imagine a young Isaac Newton time-travelling from 1670s England to teach Harvard undergrads in 2017. After the time-jump, Newton still has an obsessive, paranoid personality, with Asperger’s syndrome, a bad stutter, unstable moods, and episodes of psychotic mania and depression. But now he’s subject to Harvard’s speech codes that prohibit any “disrespect for the dignity of others”; any violations will get him in trouble with Harvard’s Inquisition (the ‘Office for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion’). Newton also wants to publish Philosophiæ Naturalis Principia Mathematica, to explain the laws of motion governing the universe. But his literary agent explains that he can’t get a decent book deal until Newton builds his ‘author platform’ to include at least 20k Twitter followers – without provoking any backlash for airing his eccentric views on…
