USGS confirms small earthquake in #NorthCarolina and #SouthCarolina

The U.S. Geological Survey has confirmed an earthquake earlier this week in the Bryson City area.

A magnitude 2.1 earthquake shook the area near Forney Ridge at around 9:10 p.m. on Tuesday.

There was no damage or injuries reported.

On Wednesday night, the USGS reported a second earthquake in the Carolinas. This time a magnitude 1.7 in the area of Great Falls, South Carolina.
