Today marks the 101st anniversary of the sinking of the RMS Titanic in which over 1,500 souls died. As most of you know I am a Titanic buff. Therefore I couldn’t let this day go by without posting anything. My very first post was about the RMS Titanic is you would be interested in reading that, it is here (it’s a bit stiff but I have taken care to correct errors and do some editing recently. One of these days I’m going to have to rewrite it altogether. It’s a disaster in itself). Other Map of Time Titanic-related posts can found here and here and here and here. I hope that you will join me in offering thoughts and prayer for the tragedy in Boston. And though we may never understand why these atrocious acts occur, we can help and support those affected.
We must also condemn those malignant persons responsible for an act that is no less than evil cowardice. Whatever a person’s ideology, the taking of innocent lives is never justification for promoting whatever cause they aim to promote.
Nearly as reprehensible are people who will use the victims and our sentiments as a means to forward their agendas. Like in other recent tragedies, I condemn this exploitation for its vulturous depravity. This is a time to unite with the victims and the their families; a time to lend support and prayer to shepherd them through their grief. Amen – Where ever I stand, I stand with Israel! The Apple of my Gods eye!
